Porter Yoshida & Co. Capsule Wallet — Gray

The most quietly right wallet in the Capsule range — and the one you’ll carry for the longest.

Some products are better in gray. The Porter Capsule Wallet is one of them. The cire-finished nylon taffeta — Yoshida & Co.’s heat-treated gloss fabric — is restrained in this colourway in a way that allows the construction to come forward. It reads as considered rather than conspicuous. It is the version of this wallet you buy without needing a reason.

The organisational layout is unchanged from the other colourways: three card slots, a coin pouch, a bill compartment, a second zip compartment, a zipped ID window, two hidden pockets, and a removable key strap with three hooks. The 210D nylon twill interior is urethane-coated and precisely finished. Velcro closure. Tri-fold.

At 135 × 95 mm and 85 g, the Capsule fits in a back pocket without announcing itself. The gray version in particular asks nothing of its context — it works with everything and continues to look right long after a louder choice would have dated itself. Made in Japan.
