Porter Yoshida & Co. Capsule Wallet — Orange

There are wallets that disappear into a pocket and wallets that make an impression when you take them out. The Porter Capsule in orange is both. The cire-finished nylon taffeta — Yoshida & Co.’s signature heat-and-pressure treated fabric — produces a gloss surface that reads as considered rather than loud: a material choice, not a style statement.

The functional brief behind it is serious throughout. Three card slots. A zipped coin pouch. A bill compartment and a second zip compartment. A zipped ID window. Two hidden pockets. A removable key strap with three hooks. All of this in a tri-fold form measuring 135 × 95 mm and weighing 85 g — flat in a back pocket, and capable of carrying everything a day requires.

The interior is 210D nylon twill with urethane coating: clean, durable, and precisely finished. The exterior PVC coating and cotton bonding make the cire surface resilient to the wear that a wallet takes daily. Velcro closure. The orange colourway is the version of this wallet that most people notice first — and then end up keeping for longest. Made in Japan.
